Vegetarian Restaurants & Healthy meals in Paris

Vegetarian Restaurants & Healthy meals in Paris

For years it has been quite difficult to find good vegetarian restaurants in Paris, where this concept was almost considered like from outer space...

Things are changing of course as Parisians grow more and more health-conscious.

Vegetarian and even vegan are not bad words anymore and venues are flourishing..

A table!!

Remember that:

In Paris lunch is served from 11:30am to 2pm and dinner from 7:30pm to 11pm.
Restaurants are often closed on Sunday and Monday.
Tipping: all bills include a service charge, but an additional tip of a few euros (for the whole table) is polite unless you’re unhappy with the service.

Petit Usagi - Paris

Fine Bento and very good vibes !

Barely open, Petit Usagi, a new Japanese restaurant is already an event in Paris.  Not really astonishing when we know that “Petit Usagi” is the restaurant of Citizen Hotel, the last born of the Parisian boutique hotels - 6 floors  for 12 absolutely perfect rooms - and that it is the invention of Shinsuke Kawahara creator of one of the best Japanese restaurant in Paris: Usagi.

Shinsuke Kawahara once again made the interior design: refined, classy and amusing.

He also composed the menu made of Bento:

- Veg every day,

- With chicken Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays,

- With the curry Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Served with a vegetables soup and a green tea it is 15€. simply perfect!!
And soon these bento will be delivered at home..

Bob’s kitchen Bio restaurant in Pari

Bob’s kitchen Bio restaurant in Pari

Large friendly wooden tables, cardboard plates, very New York organic veggie cuisine: sesame, fruit juices, smoothies, salads, as much ginger tea as you wish but also cookies and pancakes on Sunday! A real bobo ambiance, neighbors, locals, tourists, pretty girls, prams and English mags.

Built on the success of his nearby juice bar, Bob's Kitchen goes beyond smoothies and muffins to offer veggie stew, a daily futomaki, sesame, fruit juices, smoothies, salads, as much ginger tea as you wish but also cookies and pancakes on Sunday!.
One very popular staple here are the Japanese-style wraps – a meal in themselves.

All this can be consumed at table or ordered for take-away.

Magazines and mellow tunes have made this a regular daily canteen for working bobos.

Usagi Japanese restaurant in Paris

Usagi Japanese bio restaurant in Paris

Trendy, healthy and very original Japanese restaurant!

Shinsuke Kawahara, the most French of the Parisians Japanese, is a delicate artist and fashion designer but also a gastronome of talent. His restaurant looks like him..

The decoration entirely made by him, is largely  rabbit inspired - Usagi means rabbit in Japanese - traditional Japanese hanging covered with manga and even toilets hidden in a giant rabbit…

The cuisine is of Shojin inspiration - Japanese monks of the 13th century  - a ultra-healthy and organic cuisine based on kombu, shiitake and roasted soya.

3 menus: degustation  at 63€, vegetarian at 50€ and a 35€ menu.

We adored white Radish petals with botargo, a Spring rolls with a touch of foie gras, a dashi Soup of the monk, Shrimps roasted with sesame crispy lotus-root chips and a sublime a burger of tofu!

Try sake as drink..

So delicious and personal that Marais fashion addicts have adopted this place rapidly..

They will do the same for new Shinsuke Kawahara’s latest venue: Petit Usagi more bento oriented..
