About the terminals:

Charles de Gaulle International Airport has three terminals.
Terminal 2 was built for Air France, but now hosts other airlines as well. The third terminal (T3, formerly T9) hosts charter and low cost airlines, such as easyJet.

The so-called "terminal 2" is actually not really a terminal, but rather a name applied to six distinct so-called "halls", which each possess a letter (from A to G).
In other airports, such as JFK or LAX, these "halls" would simply be called terminals, so that Charles de Gaulle International Airport can be more properly described as having nine terminals altogether. When landing at or taking off from Charles de Gaulle International Airport, one should always know precisely which of the nine terminals/halls the plane lands or takes off from, as these can be located quite far apart from each other.

The nine terminals/halls are indicated distinctly on plane tickets: 1, 2A, 2B, 2C, 2D, 2E, 2F, 2G, 3.

Your terminal maps suck. Not only are they in French (does me a lot of good) but they are all departure levels. No arrival levels. And, I don't need to know where the Louis Vitton shop is. Just basic info like where are the customs areas, etc. Thanks a lot.

I am trying to figure out , is it possible to get from train to registration office(and where it is exactly) in less than 19 minutes, because my flight is at 14:10, but, my train arrives at 13:11, end of registration is 40 minutes before the flight (so at 13:30 I have to be registered).

I will be arriving CDG at terminal 2E on AF City Jet from Edinburgh and must get to terminal 2A to make my connection to Montreal via Air Canada. If the inbound flight is on time I will have 1 hour and 10 minutes to make this connection. Is this possible? If so, can it be done remaining in a secure area to preclude having to go through more security check points?

What the gates? How far is to get from one gate to the other?

Do I have to get my checked luggage then go through customs then check my luggage again?

On April 16 my husband and I travel from Aberdeen Airport to Charles de Gaulle Airport arriving in Paris at 1450 at terminal 2E. We have to transfer to terminal 2G for a flight to Basel on April 16 at 1545. How long will it take to transfer between these terminals and is there a map available which would enable us to make the transfer to catch our flight to Basel.

I think this website should also indicate what is the best way of transferring from one terminal to another and indicate approximately how long does each take. Just saying that the terminals may be "quite far" from each other would only make the readers worry.

My son is flying back from France by himself in a few months. We are staying in Provence. I have already bought his ticket from CDG airport back to San Francisco, California. Now I need to buy a ticket from Marseille to CDG. His flight from CDGto SFO leaves at 12:15PM. The Air France flights from Marseille will arrive in CDG at 7:45AM or 8:40AM. Will the Air France flight and the American flight be in the same terminal---terminal 2? Which is the best time of arrival for the Marseille flight so he can get his luggage and to his flight to San Francisco on time. If you have any chance to book a flight without a stop-over at Paris CDG, go for it. Even if it costs you a few buck more, everything is better than getting stuck in this typical French mess.

Our flight to Munich has a 10 hour layover in Paris, how difficult is it to leave the airport to tour Paris before going onto Munich. Also do we need to claim our baggage and take it with us through PAris? Any help or information is appreciated.

1.20 hours is more than sufficient bause is no passport control and no security.

Only thing can happen .... if your fist flight is late, you'll land in LA without luggage

On Mon 13 Feb I fly into CDG (2E) from Edinburgh on AF - Arrival time 0920 - and depart for Los Angeles on AF at 1045 (2E). I do not know the layout of CDG and do not speak French.
My questions are:
Are there direction signs in English?
Is 1 hour & 20 mins sufficient connection time?
By using the flight connection area will I have to go through passport control & security & if so am I liable to encounter a long line up at that time of the morning?
