Don't worry about logistics! By pre-booking your tickets, you can head from Paris to Marseille and enjoy a relaxing day. Your independent day trip from Paris to Marseille begins with a meet and greet in central Paris, where you'll be given your round-trip ticket for the TGV, France’s high-speed rail service. You’ll then be escorted to the Gare de Lyon, one of Paris’ main train stations, where you’ll board the TGV and head south to Marseille, the beautiful seaside capital of France’s popular Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region! When you get off the train at the Marseille Saint Charles station (located conveniently close to the city center), a local host will be waiting to welcome you and give you your ticket for the hop-on hop-off tour of Marseille.

You're then free to explore Marseille any way you wish! You can start the hop-on hop-off tour at any of the 13 stops – your host will point you in the right direction of the closest stop, an approximate seven-minute walk from the train station. Board one of the open-top, double-decker buses, and hop on and off the tour as many times as you like at any of the stops on the route to see Marseille’s top attractions at your own pace. The buses include audio commentary.

Throughout the day, discover the vibrant character of Marseille, a city founded by the Greeks more than 2,600 years ago. Climb up to the famous Notre Dame de la Garde church and soak in spectacular views of the ancient city. Visit Fort Saint Jean, the city’s famous port entrance, and the Vieux Port, Marseille’s 6th-century BC harbor where you can watch the fishermen at work.  Stop at Oriol Corniche to enjoy the view of Marseille's stunning coastline  and the magnificent Château d'If.

Then make your way back to the train station.
